                                              by Rich Rivers
On a bridge above a winding river
Where summer colors of horizons live
In evening sun creating red and gold
In the sky renewing what I've seen before
    Deep, deep within your eyes;
    Deep, deep within your eyes.
Near the water is a sandy cove
Where I can see us hidden deep beneath a grove
Of trees that reach into a silent pose,
When I turn to kiss you I can see the glow of
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes;
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes.
There, in summer breezes,
Lightly falls the shade of evening;
There, in summer breezes,
Lightly falls the night as I gaze
    Deep, deep within your eyes;
    Deep, deep within your eyes.
In the distance, from horizon's rise,
The silver fingers of the city touch the sky
And draw upon her to remind
The keepers of the light
That through the night I'll see the rays of
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes;
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes.
(First verse sung in counterpoint with:)
On a bridge above the water,
Winding river, days of summer,
As horizon moves to amber,
I'm entranced and held enamoured
    Deep, deep within your eyes;
    Deep, deep within your eyes.
Hold me closely, let the sky be witness
To the life we share together now, forever.
Come into our private cove
Upon a bridge across
The winding river of our love.
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes;
    Summer sun in your eyes,
    In your eyes, in your eyes.
    (Oh....)
